Simon is a longstanding member of the team having first joined Proctor and Matthews in 2014 after graduating from the University of Sheffield. Between 2014-16 he worked largely on a single project, Chapter House in Lichfield, from planning through to completed construction. Set within the conservation area of Lichfield, Chapter House is a 38 home residential development designed to facilitate independent retirement living. The project went on to receive the HAPPI Award at the Housing Design Awards in 2018.

Simon has specialist skills in Revit modelling and Lumion for the production of high quality renders, videos and architectural animations. As part of the Trent Basin Waterside team he coordinated the COVID friendly digital public consultation combining BIM and web based technologies which received the 2021 ‘National Planning Award for Stakeholder Engagement in Planning’.

Currently Simon is part of the Eastfields Estate Regeneration team, the new proposals will provide over 800 contemporary new homes in the London Borough of Merton.

Alongside his work for Proctor and Matthews Simon is co-founder of Insitu London, a design studio specialising in community and events-based installations often involving collaborations with contemporary artists and musicians.
