Haemish joined Proctor & Matthews Architects in 2019 after studying architecture at the University of Sheffield. Since then, he has contributed to a diverse portfolio of residential, regeneration and masterplanning projects, developing expertise in the creation of sustainable communities.

Haemish has played a key role in the delivery of Benfield Valley in Hove, a sensitive new neighbourhood within the Benfield Valley Conservation Area. Shortlisted for a 2026 Housing Design Award, the project includes 101 new homes alongside the adaptive reuse of the Grade II listed Benfield Barn as a community and educational hub and workshops within the footprint of historic ruins of farm structures and cottages. 

He also contributed to the design of Wilkinsons Brook in Dublin, an RIAI award winning project of 69 family homes that demonstrates Proctor and Matthews' approach to creating higher-density, own-door neighbourhoods. Designed around a network of streets and green spaces, the design responds to changing patterns of family life while creating a strong sense of place.

More recently, Haemish has led the team for a new residential neighbourhood at Topsham, Devon. Set within the Topsham Conservation Area and overlooking the Exe Estuary, the proposals deliver 76 homes alongside significant areas of public open space, carefully integrating new development with the site's historic landscape and heritage assets.

Other projects include Heyford Park in Oxfordshire, a major new expansion creating up to 9,000 homes and supporting infrastructure, and Abbotts Ann in Hampshire, a sensitively designed residential development delivering 25 new homes and community facilities, with half of the homes provided as affordable housing.
