Director Georgina Bignold has been selected as one of 22 leading professionals to provide design evaluation and expertise that will support Canterbury City Council in delivering well designed places. 

Georgina played a key role on the award winning projects Abode at Great Kneighton, a major new housing and mixed use community in the Cambridge Southern Fringe growth area. Recent work includes Inholm, a sustainable urban neighbourhood of 400 homes that sets pioneering townscape design principles for the wider new town of Northstowe near Cambridge. Initiated by Homes England, Northstowe is England’s most ambitious new town project since Milton Keynes and will eventually grow to a community of 10,000 homes.  

Georgina has also been applying her experience to undertake design guidance that aspires to deliver character and quality across large sites. The Design for Ebbsfleet Study, commissioned by the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, develops a series of design narratives and strategies building on the study of context to create a distinctive character Ebbsfleet Garden City. She also led the Hertfordshire Strategic Sites Design Guidance - the study provides a set of guiding principles for large urban extensions and new settlements across the county - ensuring new homes and jobs are delivered in a socially, economic and environmentally sustainable way.

Georgina is also a member of the Ebbsfleet Garden City Design Forum.
