Celebrating 10 years of the Designing Places Student Competition

Celebrating 10 years of the Designing Places Student Competition

We are proud to support the Designing Places Student Competition. Now in its 10th year the Scottish Government initiative introduces students to the principles of masterplanning.

During this period Stephen Proctor and Andrew Matthews were invited guest tutors at the one-day workshops led by Susie Stirling, Head of Placemaking and Housing at the Scottish Government. Competing groups of Architecture, Planning and Urban Design students from across Scotland were invited to present masterplan proposals for a new neighbourhood extension to Tweedbank, a village in the Scottish Borders and Eaglesham, a conservation village near Glasgow.

We continue our support for this inspiring project, engaging with young people who will shape the future of our built environment.
