Johannah Fening is an Architect and Urban Designer who is enthusiastic about inclusive urban developments for diverse communities in the public and private sector. Johannah’s values are also reflected in her academic work which gained national recognition. In 2020, she was nominated for the RIBA President’s Silver Medal award for her final master’s project ‘Reclaim Brixton’ and was 1 of 4 student finalists for the National Urban Design Awards for her project ‘My House, Our Neighbourhood’.
Johannah was a contributing author to Proctor & Matthews’ recent publication ‘Places for InterACTion’ (2022) where her essay discussed and proposed how community-led public art in urban design can foster social interaction between socially and physically divided communities in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Johannah also regularly organises internal Studio Sessions for the practice that has included a variety of topics such as delivering social value, diverse representation in the built environment and staff projects.
